About Laura 

Laura "Ambika" Amazzone, M.A. is an author, scholar, teacher, Yogini, Intuitive, and longtime practitioner of Goddess traditions and Śākta Tantra. Her work brings together more than three decades of study, pilgrimage, ritual practice, and direct engagement with the living Goddess traditions of South Asia.

She is the author of Goddess Durga and Sacred Female Power and the forthcoming Navarātri: Nine Nights of the Divine Mother — A Guidebook for Uncertain Times. Her work has been deeply shaped by her research and pilgrimage in Nepal and India, particularly her study of Durgā, the Devī Māhātmyam, the Aṣṭa Mātṛkās, and the sacred traditions of the Kathmandu Valley.

For nearly three decades, Laura has taught Goddess traditions, Śākta sādhana, ritual, meditation, and embodied spiritual practice internationally. Her approach brings scholarship into conversation with lived practice, honoring both the historical depth of these traditions and their capacity to speak directly to contemporary life.

Through her writing and teaching, Laura invites students and readers into a direct relationship with Goddess—not simply as an object of study, but as a living presence encountered through practice, contemplation, pilgrimage, ritual, and the unfolding terrain of one’s own life.
